Predictive Maintenance (PdM) Technician

ASI is seeking an experienced Predictive Maintenance (PdM) Technician. The candidate will plan, implement, and execute Predictive Maintenance Programs for various facilities and equipment.



  • Perform various PdM activities such as Vibration Analysis, Thermography, Ultrasonic Inspection, Oil Analysis, Motor Circuit Analysis, etc.
  • Participate in Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) Analysis to determine where PdM technologies may be applied to facility equipment
  • Collect, analyze, and report baseline PdM readings
  • Assist in developing PdM routes
  • Install permanent Vibration Sensors, Inspection Ports/Windows, and other PdM components to facility equipment
  • Collect continuous PdM readings
  • Analyze PdM readings to determine faults and fault severity, recommend corrective actions, and verify repairs corrected any previously detected defects
  • Generate a monthly RCM/PdM progress report on each item that provides Green/Amber/Red status, detected defects, defect repair priorities, recommended corrective actions, and defect status of any repaired/rebuilt items
  • Report on any “Case Studies” that highlight the benefits of having a PdM program in place


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Statistics, or Mathematics
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) as well as other statistical or modeling tools (Minitab, Simulation with Arena, Matlab, etc)
  • ASNT Level 2 / ISO Category 3 in at least one PdM technology. Preferably Thermography or Vibration Analysis
  • 2+ years of experience performing PdM on facility equipment (e.g. AHUs, Cooling Towers, Generators, Switchgear, etc.), including collecting and analyzing data, identifying defects and severity, recommending and prioritizing corrective actions, and verifying repairs
  • Experience installing permanent PdM components, such as vibration sensors or inspection ports, on equipment
  • Must be willing to travel a significant amount of time


Preferred Qualifications:

  • CRE and/or CMRP


Work Authorization/Security Clearance:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must be qualified to obtain a Secret Clearance
