The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for performing repair and maintenance on equipment inside and outside the facility. This position routinely requires moderate to extreme physical exertion and may require prolonged standing, bending, kneeling, squatting, and working in awkward positions. The hours and physical demand may vary by location.


  • Perform all duties in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
  • Perform all preventative maintenance duties on equipment.
  • Continually monitor machinery and make necessary adjustment(s) to ensure proper operation.
  • Perform all levels of welding and mechanical repairs to industrial machinery present.
  • Repair and possible fabrication of conveyors and component parts.
  • Proper use of all welding and cutting equipment related to all phases of metal fabrication and repair.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Company and OSHA standards.
  • Complete all paperwork and/or electronic updates as required.
  • Regular use of heavy industrial shop tools and equipment.
  • Reading of electrical schematics.
  • Program and troubleshoot PLC programs.
  • Run conduit and wiring for various applications.
  • Wiring of motor controls and AC/DC drives.
  • Professional interaction with internal customers.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by performing and communicating in a manner that promotes good relationships with co-workers, and management.


  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the job (prolonged physical exertions, including standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, kneeling, climbing and working in awkward positions and tight areas).
  • Excellent welding, electrical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Minimum Five (5) years' experience in industrial maintenance or completion of 2 year technical training program preferred.
  • Must be able to recognize and avoid electrical hazards.
  • Must be familiar with electrical PPE such as arc flash suit, insulated gloves and tools.
  • Must have the skills to properly use voltage test equipment.
  • Must have the skills to identify exposed energized electrical components and conductors
  • Must have the skills to determine the nominal voltage of exposed energized electrical components and conductors
  • Must understand and identify the applicable approach distance for the voltage in which they will be exposed (NFPA 70 E Tables)
  • Must possess the decision making ability to determine the level of hazard, proper PPE and job planning to safely perform the task
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • Ability to obtain certificate to operate powered industrial lift trucks.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills to be able to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers.
  • Familiarity with using a computer.


  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Five (5) years electro-mechanical training or experience.
  • Licensed electrician a plus.
  • Previous experience in production environment, specifically food manufacturing, a plus.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment testing.
  • Must be able to read and speak the English language well enough to communicate, understand, and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs, signals, and safety training.
