Role: ENGINEERING PROJECT MANAGER – CAPITAL PROJECT

 

Color-Box, a division of Georgia-Pacific, is recruiting an Engineering Project Manager to lead a capital project installation at our facility in Richmond, Indiana.

 

Responsibilities

 

• Provide capital project management, engineering and construction management services for new press installation

o Learn and understand contractor safety expectations

o Provide insight in to final machine drawings/specs as well as final placement of machine and ancillary equipment

o Oversee and coordinate utilities (e.g. power, water, air)

o Liaise with manufacturer’s installation team during the entire process through start up and turn over

 

• Synergize and prioritize efforts of the capital installation team (to include plant maintenance techs, equipment manufacturer, facilities subcontractors, etc.) with those of Georgia-Pacific and Color-Box

 

• Ensure compliance excellence, apply MBM knowledge and strictly adhere to all safety rules and regulations

 

• Actively participate in knowledge sharing process with manufacturing and business partners to strive for continuous improvement at a level greater than the competition

 

Basic Qualifications

 

• Prior experience managing large installation of new capital in a manufacturing environment

 

• Knowledge of web printing presses preferred

 

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred

 

• Experience managing direct reports preferred

 

 

Knowledge – Skills – Abilities

 

• Experience in engineering and managing capital equipment projects.

 

• Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, and time management skills.

 

• Ability to prioritize multiple issues simultaneously with a sense of urgency.

 

• Experience with MS-Office, MS-Project and Auto CAD software.

 

• Demonstrated ability to successfully work in a team environment.
